Romário

Romário was born on Jan. 29, 1966. Not only is he a well-known football player, but also he is a Brazilian politician. Under great reputation, he was widely regarded as one of the greatest footballers of his generation for outstanding performances on football fields. Known for diligence, extraordinary ability, dynamic energy, sophisticated technique and skillful shooting, he obtained many achievements for his team.

Having played an important role at the 1994 FIFA World Cup victory in Brazil, he turned to be a winner of FIFA Golden Ball. In the same year, he became a professional football player of FIFA World Player of the Year. He won the fifth place in an internet poll in the FIFA Player of the Century.

Before transferred to FC Barcelona, he developed his football playing career at PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands in 1988. After played at PSV for five seasons, he became a member of Johan Cruyff‘s “Dream Team”. Besides, he was a critical football player for Brazil national football team, scoring 55 goals in 70 matches.
